What is Marching Band?

It is a group of musicians playing and marching around with instruments/flags/rifles for entertainment and competition purposes. The marching band plays at football games, parades, and competitions.


Who can do Marching Band?

Anyone can participate! You just need to be enrolled in a band class in order to participate in marching band. The only exception is for color guard members.


What is the time commitment for Marching Band?

Marching band is a big time commitment but is worth it! The marching season runs from August - November. Rehearsals are Tuesday - Thursday, weekly. Tuesday and Thursday rehearsals are 4:00 - 6:30PM and Wednesday Rehearsals are 4:00 - 5:30PM. Performances are for football games on Friday nights and competitions on Saturdays (times vary week to week).
